From deep waters...

with ​the biggest depths 
and the lightness of light and water
​dancing up into the surface

...to tides and flows

the natural flows
creating streams and tides
coming from far away
and gently creating 
wonderful waves

...to small, soft waves

"STUDI OCEANICI: III - ONDINE"

the gentleness and softness
of the smallest waves
touching our beaches
creating wonderful sparkles
through water, sand and light

...then up to the Arctic

"STUDI OCEANICI: IV - GHIACCI"

the calm and peace of glaciers
interrupted by the crash
of icebergs
increasing more and more
such as the sorrow of our oceans
​counting down the time 

Awareness for the planet.

A new kind of music which is environmental conscious.

A tribute to nature.  A question mark to humanity.

I created this music clearly keeping in my mind two magnificent pieces by two authors of the past: "Symphonic Etudes op.13" by R. Schumann and "L'Estampes" by C. Debussy.
I was strongly feeling the need to give a tribute to our nature, dedicating a creation to the maestosity of the Oceans.
I then focused to reveal, with piano notes, all the feelings, the images, the perceptions that I see in the Ocean, in all its forms and manifestations... going back to impressionist music.
In particular, in the last piece "Ghiacci", which takes the listener into an overview of the arctic through music, the peacefulness and the calm of the landscape leads to a mood which becomes sadder and sadder as the music goes on, such as if the Ocean is losing hope towards the future and humanity. In the end, the last chords recall the idea of a clock which is counting down the last minutes we have, in order to try to preserve this planet and to give it a future.
